Questions about Cerium before you buy
Answers to what school owners ask before a demo: what it costs, how to move data, who sees what, where the data lives and what Cerium connects to. We also say what is missing.
Pricing and plans
What is included, how you pay and what happens when you go over a limit.
The Pro plan is 40 € net/month (up to 100 students and 10 teachers), the School plan is 85 € net/month (up to 300 students, 30 teachers and 3 locations), and Enterprise is priced individually; VAT depends on your country and VAT number. Every plan includes all 35 modules - no paid feature add-ons. A private primary school has a separate plan: 1 € net per student per month with a minimum of 100 students, teachers included. Schools from Poland pay in złoty: 170 zł, 370 zł and 4 zł net respectively.
All 35 modules - payments, e-learning, the interactive whiteboard, CRM, HR, the timetable - are in every plan. There are no paid add-ons and no premium tier. You pay for the scale of the school, not for features.
Yes - 14 days of the full version, no credit card. Book a free demo and we will show the system on your groups, lessons and payments.
In advance for each period, normally charged automatically to the card the school saved with Stripe. Prices are net, plus VAT. The school manages its card and invoices in Settings, and VAT invoices go to KSeF through the platform's accounting software.
It depends on the limit's mode. A hard limit stops the write; a soft one accepts it and records the overage, and the fee for students and teachers above the plan is added to the next invoice. The Limits screen shows the usage of each limit with the same count the system uses to refuse.
Setup and migration
How to start, how to move your data and how to leave if you need to.
For private schools and education centres: language schools, tutoring, music and arts, dance, sports and driving schools. There is also a separate plan for private primary schools with the Classes module (pilot). For state schools, where Librus and Vulcan are the standard, the legal opinion and the pilot are under way: see the Primary school page.
Yes. From LangLion the school moves itself from the Integrations tab: team, groups, students, guardians, companies, rooms and upcoming lessons, with duplicate detection. From other systems such as ActiveNow, and from spreadsheets, we load students, guardians and groups from CSV files. We help with the migration or do it for the school.
Yes. The School plan covers up to 3 locations (addresses) in one school: a shared team and students, with the timetable narrowed to a location. With Enterprise you get several separate schools on one account: each with its own team, students and timetable, switching in one click and one invoice for all of them.
You create a trial account yourself: a form, a confirmation link by e-mail, your own password and 14 days with no fee and no card. Then you choose a plan in Settings or the account closes itself. Until the agreement is in place, do not enter real student data. Prefer a guided demo? Write to us.
The panel works in the phone's browser and is designed from phone width up, for every role. An App Store and Google Play app with push notifications is in preparation: it is the same panel in a native window, so there will be no second interface to learn.
Yes. The agreement can be terminated at any time, effective at the end of the paid period. During the agreement you export data yourself as CSV from the tables, plus documents and files, and after it ends we keep it for 90 more days to hand over on the school's request.
Roles and access
Who sees what and what the school can switch off.
No. A teacher cannot get team Contracts, Price lists or Settlements by any route, not even a module grant, because they carry everyone's rates. Finance is off by default. They read their own contract through a separate view when the owner enables it in Settings.
Yes. Settlements (a tab of the Team module) count teachers' hours automatically from the lessons they ran, applies the rates and extras from their contract and closes the month with one amount to pay out. No more adding up tutors' hours by hand at the end of the month. The bank transfer itself stays with you.
The panel is designed from phone width up and runs in the phone’s browser. The teacher sees the day’s lessons on the Dashboard, opens the group in the Journal and marks attendance (present, absent, late with minutes, note), enters the topic, the syllabus unit, homework with a material or a link, and a remark. Students and guardians with an account see it in their panel and get a notification plus one digest e-mail. An App Store and Google Play app with push notifications is in preparation; today Cerium runs in the browser.
Yes, in Settings, on the Modules tab. Switching off deletes nothing: the module moves to the "To discover" group and can still be read, but not written to. Dashboard, Settings and Support cannot be switched off. Switching back on restores the module with its data.
No. A student is a school record and the account is separate: it goes to whoever the school sends access to by email. Without an account the student is still in groups, the journal and payments. A guardian account works the same way and shows their children's data.
Data and security
Where the data is, who is responsible for it and what happens to it.
The application, database and online lesson server run on our own servers in Poland, and files are stored with Hetzner in Germany. The database separates each school's data (RLS), guarded by tests that run before every deployment. A database copy is made every day.
The school is the controller of the data it enters, and we process it under the data processing terms in the agreement. The privacy policy lists the providers that receive data and the retention periods. Consent from a sign-up form is stored together with a copy of the text the person saw.
Integrations
What Cerium connects to, and what it does not.
Available: online payments and card instalment charges through Stripe (the school’s own account, Stripe Connect), VAT invoices in KSeF through Fakturownia, wFirma, iFirma or inFakt, e-mail (instalment, homework and report messages), video lessons built into Cerium, CSV import and export, and an API key for an enquiry form on your website. Not available today: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, SMS and WhatsApp.
No. Reminders and updates go by e-mail and as notifications in the panel; Cerium has no SMS gateway.
Not today. The timetable lives in the Schedule and on the Dashboard; there is no calendar subscription (iCal) and no sync with Google Calendar or Apple Calendar.
Yes. Cerium e-mails a payment link before the due date, charges the instalment from a saved card and reminds about overdue amounts - the guardian hears about it before the instalment becomes overdue.
It has an API key for one thing: adding an enquiry from a form on the school's website to the CRM pipeline. The key reads nothing. There is no API for reading school data and no outgoing webhooks; data comes out through CSV export.
Yes, for payments in Finance, through the school's own accounting software: Fakturownia, wFirma, iFirma or inFakt. The software numbers the invoice and sends it to KSeF, while Cerium builds the document from the payment for the instalment's payer and retries failures. The software keys go into Settings.
For language schools
Private lessons, cancellations, levels, the placement test and the syllabus.
Yes. A 1:1 lesson is a group with one student, and the Bookings module (beta) lets a teacher set a weekly window in which the student books a slot in their own panel; the booking becomes a lesson in the Schedule and the Journal. A per-lesson payment plan bills by the number of lessons, and teacher payroll counts the lessons held. Lesson packages with an expiry date („10 lessons valid for 3 months”) are not available today.
The school’s notice rule decides: a lesson cancelled in time disappears from the timetable, and one cancelled late stays as „Cancelled late”, so it counts towards the per-lesson plan instalment and the teacher’s payroll. A lesson can also be moved in the Schedule, or a make-up lesson added. When a teacher is away, a substitute is set for a single day.
Yes. A make-up is a separate kind of group lesson („Add lesson”: make-up or extra lesson), visible in the Schedule and the Journal. Creating a new lesson series for the group does not delete make-ups.
Yes. Every group has a level from A1 to C2, the syllabus has a level, the Schedule shows it, and the course certificate carries it. The level belongs to the group, not the student: there is no history of a student’s level changes today.
Yes. The test is a set of questions from Exercises with level thresholds, shared under a public link with no account needed. The candidate fills in a form and the test, their level is frozen, and the CRM gets an enquiry with a note such as „Placement test: 72 %, B1”.
Yes, in the Syllabus module: textbook, level and units in order, one syllabus per group. At each lesson the teacher marks the unit covered, and „Where we are” is taken from the latest lessons held and shown in the group header, also to a substitute.
Yes. The Schedule shows lessons by day, week and month, by teacher or by room, and you drag a lesson to another day, person or room. Rooms live in the school's catalogue, assigned to a location. The system does not detect two lessons in one room yet: you see them on the room's lane, but without a warning.
Yes. The panel speaks Polish and English, and each person picks their language under Account. System emails go out in the recipient's language, so a foreign teacher and a Polish parent each get the same email in their own language.
