Dancers book themselves beta
The instructor enters a weekly window, and the dancer or parent picks a free slot. The booking is a class in the schedule and register right away.
BookingsSoftware for dance schools and studios, from sign-up to the diploma after the show: groups by style and level, room and instructor schedule, attendance, payments, costumes and a parent account in one place.
This is a dancer’s path through the school. Each step is a module that hands its data to the next, so nobody retypes anything.
A dancer or a parent fills in the form from a link on the website, from Facebook or from a QR code on a poster, and the enquiry lands in the pipeline with a stage, an owner and a next step.
A won enquiry creates the dancer in one dialog. An adult pays for themselves, and a child gets a guardian with their own account, which covers siblings too.
The style goes in the group name and a tag, for example “salsa” or “kids hip-hop”, and the school picks the level from a six-step scale. The staff can hold several instructors.
A series creates classes for the whole term, with a room and a length for each weekday, and skips the school’s days off on its own.
The instructor marks attendance, notes what the group worked on and leaves a memo for the next class.
A video of the choreography or music to practise at home is uploaded to an E-learning folder assigned to the group, and the dancers see it in their account.
A monthly plan, instalments or “per class”, counted from the group’s classes that were not cancelled. The dancer or parent pays by link or by a card charged automatically.
A show costume handed to a dancer is tracked in Rentals with a quantity and comes back with a condition: returned, damaged or lost.
The end-of-year show is a project with phases and tasks: routines, rehearsals, the venue, costumes and invitations, each with a person and a deadline.
After the show or at the end of the course the whole group gets diplomas from one template, numbered in sequence for the year, with a link to print.
An instructor spends the evening in the studio, not at a desk. Everything they do around a class fits on a phone, in the break between groups.
The day’s classes are listed in order, with room and group.
One tap opens the class in the register, with the group’s roster.
From the menu next to each dancer, lateness straight away with minutes, and a short note on any status.
You note what the group worked on, for example turns and the second part of the routine.
You point to the stage of the course plan the class covered, and “where we are” updates itself.
A note goes to the guardian, or straight to a dancer with no guardian. One digest notification arrives, not an email after every click.
The panel runs in the phone’s browser and is designed from a width of 390 px. An App Store and Google Play app with push notifications is in preparation.
Seven things a studio does every week: groups, rooms, attendance, videos, payments, shows and diplomas.
The style goes in the name and in tags you can filter the list by, and the staff can hold several instructors. The mandatory level is the A1-C2 scale from languages, used in a studio as a nominal skill grade.
Module: GroupsDay, week and month by instructor or by room, with rooms grouped by location and many classes changed at once.
Module: ScheduleAttendance, lateness in minutes, class topic, notes and grades in categories the school names itself, for example technique and musicality.
Module: JournalA video of the routine and practice music in a folder assigned to the group. A dancer sees the materials of their own groups.
Module: E-learningA monthly plan for the whole group in one save, a payment link, a card charged automatically and email reminders.
Module: FinanceA show, competition or workshop with phases, tasks and the people preparing it.
Module: ProjectsA diploma for the whole group at once, numbered in sequence for the year, with a print link.
Module: CertificatesA one-to-one lesson, for example getting a couple ready for their first dance, lives in the same schedule and register as a group. Next to it, what the studio does outside a normal week.
The instructor enters a weekly window, and the dancer or parent picks a free slot. The booking is a class in the schedule and register right away.
BookingsBefore a set number of hours the lesson disappears. After that it stays as “cancelled late”, and the dancer sees this before clicking.
BookingsMake-up classes and an extra rehearsal before the show sit next to the series, and a new series does not overwrite them.
GroupsAnother instructor takes over a single class for the day and sees the group only in a window around the cover.
ScheduleA survey without an account, behind a link and a QR code, collects sign-ups for a workshop or a dance camp, and the system counts the results.
SurveysThe monthly amount is calculated from classes held, at the rates in the instructor’s contract.
SettlementsPasses for a number of entries (for example eight classes to use in a month) are not available today, and neither is signing up for a single group class. Payment is by a monthly plan, instalments, a one-off charge or per the group’s classes in a given month.
One school, four points of view. The server enforces the boundary on every save, not a hidden button in the menu.
| Role | Sees | Changes |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | The whole studio: payments, groups, instructors, rooms, pay and every message thread. | Payment plans, group staffing, class series, course plans, report and diploma templates, school settings. |
| Instructor | Their own groups and classes and those dancers, and when covering, the group only within that window. | Attendance, topic, grades, notes and materials, but only on their own classes. |
| Dancer | Their week, own register, their groups’ videos, a borrowed costume and payments if they have no guardian. | Books a private lesson, pays online if they have no guardian, and writes to the school and their instructors. |
| Parent | Each child separately: attendance, grades, notes, payments, reports and contracts. | Pays with the “Pay” button, books lessons for the child and writes to management, reception and instructors. |
The “no” list is here on purpose: better to know before the demo than after the rollout.
Short answers, no overpromising. What is missing is listed alongside.
No. Passes and entry bundles are not available today. Payment is by a monthly plan, instalments, a one-off charge or “per class”, that is, by the group’s classes not cancelled in a given month. A plan can be set up for one dancer, a selection or the whole group in one save.
The style goes in the group name and as a tag the groups table can be filtered by. The level is a mandatory field on a six-step scale written from A1 to C2, and the school gives the steps its own meaning, for example from beginner to advanced. A dancer can be in several groups at once.
Yes. Rooms are entered in Settings and assigned to a location, and the Schedule shows classes by room, by instructor or as a calendar. The system does not yet detect two groups booked in the same room: you see both on the room’s lane, but without a warning.
Yes. The panel runs in the phone’s browser and is designed from a width of 390 px: attendance, topic and notes fit on one screen. An app in the stores is in preparation.
The show is set up as a project with phases and tasks, each with a person and a deadline. Costumes are handed out from Rentals with a return and a condition, extra rehearsals are added to the group next to the series, and diplomas after the show are issued to the whole group from one template.
Partly. Cancelling a class does not send a notification today. Management can send an announcement to all of the school’s students or all guardians, and write to chosen people with an account in Messages. Announcements to a single group and SMS are not available today.
14 days on your groups and instalments. No card, no strings.
