Dashboard

The starting screen for everyone who runs the school. One request brings the whole day: what is happening right now, how the week looks, how much tuition came in and what still needs a move today.

What this module does

1
request for the school's whole day
5
modules feed one list of things to do
8 s
how often NOW takes the next lesson
0
tables of its own - it reads other modules

The "now" panel

The lesson in progress with its remaining minutes and attendance. When several run at once, the panel takes the next one every eight seconds, with arrows to step through by hand.

The week in a tile

Not a preview but the whole timetable: same views, same gestures, same lesson dialog. A lesson moved here is saved without leaving the dashboard.

Numbers that lead somewhere

Students, groups, attendance and money due with a collection ring. Every number opens the module that owns it, because a summary with no way into the data is a dead end.

Today's follow-ups

Contracts waiting for a signature, leads with no answer, loans past their return date, overdue payments and project tasks due today, this week or already late.

Only what you actually have

A section whose module you do not have never appears, instead of showing a zero or a sample. The day, the minutes and the "now" line come from the school clock, not the browser.

Who sees what

A module is a permission, and which records may be touched is settled on write, not in the menu.

RoleSeesChanges
OwnerThe full set: NOW, the week, students, groups, attendance, charges and duties.Lessons, straight from the tile. Beyond those it writes nothing, because it owns nothing.
MethodologistThe same, minus duties from Contracts: that module is not theirs by default. The same as the owner: lessons from the tile, the rest in the modules that own it.
TeacherThe week, groups, attendance, rentals and their own tasks from Projects.Lessons they are assigned to. Finance and pipeline figures never reach them.
StudentThe space card. Aggregate figures are for the people who run the school.Nothing. Their own grades and attendance live under “My journal”.

The details nobody asks about during a demo

The things that only surface in the third week of working with the module.

What this module does not do
  • tables of its own - a number that is not in a module will not appear here
  • live refresh - “happening now” freezes on arrival and waits for a reload
  • a period picker - it speaks of THIS week and THIS month, the rest is in modules
  • a student dashboard with their figures - a student gets the space card

One request carries the whole school day: the clock, the week's lessons, attendance, student and group counts, the month's money and duties from Projects - all in one transaction. A second request for two numbers would be a second connection. The remaining duties are added by the panel layer, asking only the modules a person has.

A screen without the charges tile - no zero, no sample, no greyed-out card with a padlock. A section appears when the asker has the MODULE and the right to read its records; otherwise the API returns nothing there and the screen simply lays out tighter. The dashboard never tells more than the screen the data came from.

Yes, because the week tile is the WHOLE Schedule rather than a preview of it: five views, the same gestures and the same lesson dialog as under the module's own address. The change is saved through the Groups routes, exactly as from the Schedule screen - the calendar does not own lessons, it arranges them in time.

The “Happening now” plate shows one lesson and takes the next every eight seconds, while arrows with an “n of N” counter step it by hand and restart the countdown. What moves is the group name, not the whole plate: the container stands from the first frame, and only the data is drawn.

From the SCHOOL's clock, which travels in the API response rather than from the browser - otherwise a director abroad would see somebody else's day. The same clock decides the state of a lesson, the minutes left and the NOW line in the grid. The screen does not refresh itself: the minutes stand until the page is reloaded.

Five modules: contracts expired and expiring, leads past their next step or gone quiet, rentals overdue and due today, unpaid charges, and tasks from Projects. Tasks enter ONLY where the asker is assigned, with a date past, today, or within seven days; the screen shows five and turns the rest into a number that leads into the module.

No. The charges tile needs the Finance module, which a teacher does not have by default, so the section does not appear even as an empty box. The same goes for the pipeline. It works both ways: once a school grants Finance to that person, the tile arrives with the very same figures as the Finance screen.

No, and that is its entire design: it does not own a single table. The money figures come from the same query as the Finance screen, the lessons from the Schedule, attendance from the Journal. That is why every number leads into the module that owns it: a summary you cannot step into is a dead end.
