A section is one set
The section carries one group of pass settings: how many attempts, what percentage passes, how many minutes. An empty field means no limit and the screen says so.
After an A1 lesson a teacher wants ten gap-fill sentences for the group, and a word list for the one student who missed it. Exercises is where that set is built and handed out.
She to school.
The capital of Poland is...
“children” is the plural of “child”.
The section carries one group of pass settings: how many attempts, what percentage passes, how many minutes. An empty field means no limit and the screen says so.
Gap fill, multiple choice, drag the word, dropdown, true or false, sentence order, sorting into columns, anagram, matching pairs, open answer and a vocabulary list.
An assigned section stays invisible to students while the draft switch is on. A methodologist builds the set over a week, a teacher publishes it the day it is ready.
Recipients are picked in the same layer that staffs a group: the value is a key, so two students who share a surname stay two separate entries on the list.
A copy runs in one transaction and always comes out as a draft with no recipients, but with every exercise in it. That is how a teacher makes another person's set their own.
A module is a permission, and which records may be touched is settled on write, not in the menu.
| Role | Sees | Changes |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Every section in the school, drafts and published, on one track. | Everything, other people's sections too: name, settings, deletion, resets. |
| Methodologist | The same as the owner: every section and every result. | The same. Building sets is their job outright, in anyone's section. |
| Teacher | Every section in the school: inside the team there are no walls here. | Their own in full; to others they add exercises and recipients, or duplicate. |
| Student | Only sections that are published and assigned to them or to their group. | Their own answers in an attempt. The content travels without the answer key. |
The things that only surface in the third week of working with the module.
All fifteen. Every type has its own editor in the exercise card, with autosave and a student preview: gaps are typed with brackets in the text, pairs, columns and vocabulary go in row by row or pasted from a spreadsheet. The student solves them on the attempt page by clicking, dragging or with the keyboard, and the score comes from the key. The exception is the open answer: a person grades it, so it stays out of the attempt percentage.
Their own attempt page: the exercises one under another, badges with the attempt number, the threshold and the count of answers, and a clock when there is a time limit. Answers save themselves as they go, and “Finish and check” grades from the key and shows it with an explanation at each statement. Until the very end the content travels to the browser without the key.
The deadline is counted by the database, not the browser, so winding the clock back does nothing and an attempt past its time is closed on entry. There is one open attempt per student and section, so coming back re-enters that same one with whatever answers got saved. The result is written at the moment of finishing and stays as it was then.
The team does, in the results panel beside the section header: three tiles (how many solved it, the average, how many passed), the distribution of best results across five buckets, and the recipients listed with their best score, attempt count and a state of “in progress”, “not yet” or “no account”. Attempts can be reset for one student or for the whole section, by whoever created it or runs the school.
That is what duplicating is for. The copy runs in one transaction with every exercise in it, but always comes out as a draft and always without recipients, so nobody is shown the same set twice. A teacher does not touch the name, settings or deletion of another person's section; adding an exercise or a recipient to it is open to anyone with the module.
Who can see it. An assigned section left as a draft does not reach students at all, so clearing the draft flag is publication even though it looks like flipping one field. That is why a section with recipients is confirmed in a dialog saying how many people are about to see it, and it asks the same from a table cell as from the section screen.
Because E-learning deliberately does not know what is inside a file. There it is a worksheet in PDF and who may download it; here it is the content a student solves in the browser, and the result. What they share is the assignment rule - to a group or to a single student - and the same recipient picker. Nothing beyond that; the file still goes through E-learning.
No. Grades, the scale and the categories belong to the Journal, and an exercise result is an exercise result; turning it into a mark is a separate decision and a separate button, which does not exist. There is no mail or chime on publication either - that means visibility, not a notification. Change the key after people have solved it and you reset the attempts: saved results are never recomputed.
